Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis (for example, the person is suicidal or has had a traumatic experience). Like physical first aid, MHFA is given until the person receives professional help or until the crisis resolves.
SHAA offers training in Standard Adult Mental Health First Aid, Older Person Mental Health First Aid (designed for those caring for or supporting an older person) and MHFA Refresher Training.
SHAA founder, Annette Tesoriero is a Principal Master Mental Health First Aid instructor, so you are in good hands when you complete an accredited Mental Health First Aid course with SHAA.
You can join a current course through our Events page.
